I’d like to invite all music lovers to collaborate and co-create in the field of promotion, performance, and busking. And at the same time, I’d love to share my personal musical stories and experiences below.

This summer, together with EUGEN (PADONA LOVE), we’re planning several busking events in Prague – we already have a few musicians on board, and we’d be happy if you joined us! All musicians, jugglers, promoters, and creatives are welcome.                                                                                                                                                                                               EUGEN PADONA LOVE – He’s a singer, dancer, and showman originally from distant Suriname. He spent most of his life in the Netherlands – lived in the Czech Republic for 8 years during the ’90s, then returned to the Netherlands, and now he’s back here for the past 3 years. The Story of Honza and Music – GALLERY of some festivals and parties I have organized

BRIEFLY ABOUT HONZA AND MUSIC:

In my youth, I played keyboards for 7 years, danced for 2 years (and still do), and play rhythmic instruments…

Music is essential food for my soul – I’ll be happy to share many stories around it in the future.. 🙂

I’m the founder and main organizer of the Reggae and World Music Festival Cultural Reggae Vibez 2002–2006

Festival story: When I came to Prague in autumn 2000, I was fascinated by the local music scene. The desire to share everything I loved led me to get a permit from the City Hall, who gladly cooperated. I applied under my own name (youthful recklessness ;)), but everything went well “under protection” and without complications:)). The following year, I initiated the creation of the PROVE association, which still organizes the festival to this day. Through flat-sharing and a friend/former classmate Sp1t, I met and lived with DJ Wadim, who together with DJ Babylon Rocker put on the first fantastic party where fire jugglers and drummers appeared out of nowhere… That year, there was also a one-night party where DJ Wadi, DJ Houba (a big-hearted guy), and Earl Gateshead from the UK, then a 52-year-old legend, played an amazing set… The following year became a 2-day and then a 3-day event.

Three-quarters of a year of ongoing work, six months of intense prep, one month of unpaid vacation – but I always left with gas money and a phone credit 🙂 All of us – volunteers at entrances, bars, kitchens, etc. – did it for the joy of co-creating, with minimal compensation or refreshments… 🙂 Thanks to that, and overall lower living costs, we managed to offer top Czech Reggae and World Music artists for a low ticket price and even brought amazing people and musicians (sometimes in cooperation with other festivals) to Hořice, to the St. Joseph Quarry.

From 2002–2006, I was responsible for:

Official licensing, selection, and organization of the entire music program.
Recruitment and management of a team of about 50 people.
Promotion, PR, finding sponsors and festival partners.
Writing a grant proposal for the City of Hořice.
Budget and logistics of the whole festival
(We ran all refreshments and food stalls ourselves – with a few exceptions – and did not have external vendors or rental income).

Thanks to operating everything ourselves, and everyone pitching in, we were able to keep the ticket prices low.

After 2012, I occasionally ran a small music agency as a hobby: SunnyMusic, which brought its perspective, support, and creativity to the music scene. I organized smaller events, played as a DJ, etc.

In 2005, I organized a small film festival (organization and side program)

Let’s play and have fun, and see what happens 😉 Contact me HERE or drop me an email, please
